The cap of the jar will contain a hologram sticker. Fake Nitrotech Ripped jars will usually be missing this sticker.
If you look closely you will notice the new Muscletech Logo along with an icon of a running athlete on the silver portion of the sticker.
A docket number will also be mentioned at the bottom portion of the sticker which can be verified by sending an email to counterfeits@iovate.com

Please note that Muscletech has recently changed its packaging. They have removed the neckband seal. Also in the previous packaging, you may find an older variant of the sticker. Kindly avoid jumping to conclusions without completing the verification.
Step 2: Take A Closer Look At The Muscletech Logo
You will find a large Muscletech Logo on the front of the jar. The large M will contain a grid-like pattern on its lower left portion.
Also, the M in Muscletech will be slightly tilted towards the right.
The word Muscletech has been printed with a unique pattern i.e you’ll notice an inner lining on the print. If you touch that portion of the jar you will feel a different texture as compared to other parts of the jar.
If the above features are missing on your Nitrotech Ripped jar then it’s most probably fake.
Step 3: Check Fonts and Text
Muscletech uses premium quality fonts on its jar. The alphabet a and g have a very distinct look.
If your Nitrotech Ripped jar contains low-quality fonts or spelling mistakes and poor grammar then it’s most probably fake.
Step 4: Check For ™, ®, and ‡ Symbols
Nitro-Tech is a registered trademark and will have the ® or ™ symbol attached to it everywhere on the jar.
The word Muscletech will have the trademark symbol ™ attached to it everywhere on the jar.
The double dagger symbol will be present alongside the 3 ingredients mentioned at the front of the jar i.e Protein, L-Carnitine L-Tartrate, C. Canephora Robusta Extract.
This symbol indicates the amount of those 3 ingredients present in one serving.
If these symbols are missing on your Nitrotech Ripped jar then it’s most probably fake.
Step 5: Check The Importer Tag

All genuine Nitrotech Ripped Jars will include an official Importer Tag of Shri Balaji Overseas along with their Hologram.
It’s very important to check the manufacturer and supplier names on the importer tag. Fake products usually have wrong information on their tags and most of these include fake tags which don’t even have a proper scratch code.
The genuine importer tag will include a golden and silver portion. The golden portion includes the GMC Logo and a hidden scratch code. After scratching the code you can send it to +91-8510012244 for verification.
The silver portion is a new addition and will include alternate triangles and circles containing the alphabets U and F.
If you take a closer look at the hologram you will notice the text GMC along with their official logo and a number.
If this importer tag is missing on your Nitrotech Ripped jar then it’s most likely a grey market product that can have a high probability of being fake.
Step 6: Check The Fill Line Indicator
The new packaging includes a fill line indicator which basically shows how high on your bottle the protein powder should be at the time of purchase. Please note that some settling may occur and the powder may not be at that exact level.
If your Nitrotech Ripped jar does not have this indicator then it’s most probably fake.
Step 7: Check For Triangle Pattern
As you can see from the above image a triangle pattern has been added to the new packaging. This pattern will include smaller triangles starting from the left and will increase in size as you go towards the right.

Step 8: Check The Feel Of The Jar
Genuine Nitrotech Ripped jars will have a different feel in different portions of the jar.
If you use your index finger to feel the above portion of the jar you will get a plastic feel.
This portion of the jar will have a paper-like feel.
The above portion will have a rough and uneven feel.
If your Nitrotech Ripped jar has a uniform feel throughout the jar then it’s most probably fake.
Step 9: Check The Flavor and Weight

Step 11: Scan The Bar Code
All genuine Nitrotech Ripped jars include a bar code that helps store employees to scan and maintain entries of the product.
You can scan the bar code using an app on your phone. It should point to Nitrotech Ripped. In case you do not get a match then you can try using a different app.

Step 12: Check The Brand Address
Nitrotech Ripped is manufactured in the USA with domestic and international ingredients.
If you notice a different address on your Nitrotech Ripped jar then it’s most probably fake.
Step 13: Check For Social Media Details
Muscletech’s official social media handles (FB, Insta, and Twitter) are mentioned on genuine Nitrotech Ripped jars. In the extreme right, you will also notice the official Muscletech Logo in Red.
If these details are missing or have been spelled incorrectly on your Nitrotech Ripped jar then it’s most probably fake.
Step 14: Check The Base Of The Jar
The packaging of Nitrotech Ripped jars is usually handled by SCI or CBM. You’ll find their logo embossed at the base of the jar.
This area will also include a recycle triangle with the number 2 and a mold mark which is formed due to the plastic thermoforming process.
If the above details are missing on your Nitrotech Ripped jar then it’s most probably fake.
Step 15: Check Lot Number and Expiry Details
US Made Nitrotech Ripped jars usually have a shelf life of 3yrs. The lot number and expiry date will be printed at the bottom of the jar with a blue inkjet printer.

Step 16: Check For Cardboard Seal & Vent
Since the neckband seal is absent in the new packaging you can always open the cap and take a look inside.
Underneath the cap, you’ll find a cardboard layer with a hole at the center. This acts as a cap liner and ensures proper sealing between the cap and the bottle.
The inner silver aluminum foil will include a vent at the center. This is used to keep the product fresh in specific markets. This vent might be absent in other markets. Please do not worry if you notice the same.
